Code Monkeys

Pretty pictures and solid game design are important, but it’s code that ties it all together and makes a compelling gameplay experience.

We are looking for a motivated game programmer for development on iPhone, mobile phones and other portable entertainment devices.

Developing and maintaining a project conception to completion whilst working within a team, you will ensure that the resulting game is of the highest standard.

In order to be considered, programmer candidates must have:
  • Strong C/C++ or Java programming skills
  • Strong OO design skills
  • Healthy 3D maths background (Open GL, Direct X or XNA)
  • Passion and enthusiasm for both playing and creating video games
  • Good communication, organisational and time-management skills
  • Examples of game programming (professionally, from University or as a hobbyist)

Cover letter, CV, demos and URLs should be forwarded to jobs@ironmonkeystudios.com

Art Monkeys

Do you have what it takes to create engaging worlds and characters for our next generation of games?

Intermediate 2D Sprite Artists
We’re on the lookout for artists enthusiastic to work on sprite-based games, along with a desire to expand their skill set into low-resolution 3D artwork.

Candidates should have examples of pixel-drawn sprites and animation, as well as 2D background drawing skills.

Classic art skills such as illustration and an understanding of lighting and composition are an advantage, but not essential.

Low Poly 3D Production Artists
Candidates should demonstrate a working knowledge of industry standard low-resolution 3D modelling and texturing, for platforms such as iPhone, Nintendo DS or Sony PSP, and have a minimum two years’ industry experience.

Vehicle and environment modelling experience is essential, along with a solid understanding of UV mapping and low-res, single-pass texturing.

Classic art-skills such as illustration and understanding of lighting and composition will be an advantage, but not essential.

Candidates for all artist positions must send a folio with examples of work in order to be considered.
